9 Days / 8 Nights This tour includes some of Peru's most important destinations including the Amazon jungle. You will see amazing Inca sites and gorgeous sceneries, and be immersed in the thick Amazon jungle. Your three-day stay in the jungle will allow you to experience first hand, the unique wildlife the Amazon has to offer.

Itinerary
DAY 1
Lima
Assistance at your arrival
to Lima Airport and transfer to your hotel. There you will receive a
briefing on your tour and vouchers covering all the services included.

DAY 2
Lima
City tour of Lima. We will
visit the main attractions of the "City of the Kings" in a 4 hour tour.
We will start at the Historical Centre including the Plaza Mayor, the
Government Palace, the City Hall, the Cathedral and the Archbishop's
Palace, Drive through the vibrant districts of San Isidro and Miraflores
overlooking the Pacific Ocean and finally we will tour the Huaca
Pucllana, a 2,000-year-old oracle pyramid.

DAY 3
Lima / Iquitos
Transfer to the Lima airport
for flight to Iquitos. Upon arrival in Iquitos, you will be assisted at
the airport and transferred to the pier. You will enjoy a two-hour motor
boat trip down the Amazon river to the Ceiba Tops Lodge for
accommodation. After a typical lunch, we take a walk into the jungle to
admire the flora and fauna of the region.

DAY 4
Iquitos
Morning visit to the Yagua
Indian settlement. The natives will demonstrate their skill with the
cerbatana blowgun and you will have an opportunity to barter with them
for their souvenirs while learning about their customs and way of life.
After lunch, we take a motor boat excursion to the small town of
Indiana, founded by the Franciscan missionaries. We might see fresh
water dolphins along the way.

Iquitos / Lima
Early morning return trip to
Iquitos airport for flight to Lima.
Rest of day at leisure in Lima.

DAY 6
Lima / Cusco
Transfer to Lima airport for
flight to Cusco. Upon arrival in Cusco, transfer to hotel. Morning at
leisure. In the afternoon we will explore this most magical city,
capital of the Inca Empire (15th century) on a tour including the Plaza
Regocijo, Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, Santo Domingo Monastery -the
legendary Korikancha Temple- and the old town. We drive out of the city
to visit the Inca sites of Tambomachay, Kenko, Puca-Pucara and
impressive Fortress of Sacsayhuaman.

DAY 7
Cusco / Sacred Valley
Full day Sacred Valley Tour.
Today we drive through the Sacred Valley of the Incas and visit the Inca
fortress of Ollantaytambo, strolling through the Inca town where time
seems to have stopped 500 years ago. Lunch at a nearby inn. Shop in the
lively and colorful Indian Pisac market where locals following ancient
traditions, sell or exchange their products. Return to Cusco.
Optional Dinner-Show at a local restaurant.

DAY 8
Cusco / Machu Picchu
Full day Machu Picchu
excursion. Transfer to Cusco train station for train service to Machu
Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas.Three hour guided tour of the
marvelous citadel, visiting the main plaza, the royal quarters, the
Temple of Three Windows, the circular tower and the sacred Sun Dial and
burial grounds. Enjoy lunch at Orient Express' Sanctuary Lodge next to
the citadel. We will take the train back to Cusco.

Cusco / Lima
Transfer to Cusco airport
for flight to Lima. Connection in Lima airport for return flight home.
