9 Day Lima, Cusco and Lake Titicaca

Itinerary

DAY 1 Lima	Assistance at your arrival to Lima Airport and transfer to your hotel. There you will receive a briefing on your tour and vouchers covering all the services included. Overnight at selected hotel in Lima.
DAY 2 Lima	City tour of Lima. We will visit the main attractions of the "City of the Kings" in a 4 hour tour. We will start at the Historical Centre including the Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the City Hall, the Cathedral and the Archbishop's Palace, Drive through the vibrant districts of San Isidro and Miraflores overlooking the Pacific Ocean and finally we will tour the Huaca Pucllana, a 2,000-year-old oracle pyramid. Overnight at selected hotel in Lima.	B
DAY 3 Lima / Cusco	Transfer to Lima airport for flight to Cusco. Upon arrival in Cusco, transfer to hotel. Morning at leisure. In the afternoon we will explore this most magical city, capital of the Inca Empire (15th century) on a tour including the Plaza Regocijo, Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, Santo Domingo Monastery -the legendary Korikancha Temple- and the old town. We drive out of the city to visit the Inca sites of Tambomachay, Kenko, Puca-Pucara and impressive Fortress of Sacsayhuaman. Overnight at selected hotel in Cusco.	B
DAY 4 Cusco / Sacred Valley	Full day Sacred Valley Tour. Today we drive through the Sacred Valley of the Incas and visit the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo, strolling through the Inca town where time seems to have stopped 500 years ago. Lunch at a nearby inn. Shop in the lively and colorful Indian Pisac market where locals following ancient traditions, sell or exchange their products. Return to Cusco. Optional Dinner-Show at a local restaurant. Overnight at selected hotel in Cusco.	B / L
DAY 5 Cusco / Machu Picchu	Full day Machu Picchu excursion. Transfer to Cusco train station for train service to Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas. Three hour guided tour of the marvelous citadel, visiting the main plaza, the royal quarters, the Temple of Three Windows, the circular tower and the sacred Sun Dial and burial grounds. Enjoy lunch at Orient Express' Sanctuary Lodge next to the citadel. We will take the train back to Cusco. Overnight at selected hotel in Cusco.	B / L
DAY 6 Cusco / Puno	Bus ride to Puno along the dramatic landscapes of the highland plates Upon arrival, transfer to selected hotel. Rest of day at leisure in Puno. Overnight at selected hotel in Puno.	B
DAY 7 Puno / Lake Titicaca	Full day tour to Lake Titicaca. Today, we will take a motor boat trip to some of the moste unique islands of Lake Titicaca, starting with Taquile Island, which is inhabited by Quechua speaking natives who have developed both an efficient and original social system and a fine hand weaving technique. Then we travel to the utterly fascinating Uros Islands. These Islands are completely man made, and its inhabitants continue to maintain them as they have since pre-Columbian times, using Totora reeds from the lake. Return to Puno. Overnight at selected hotel in Puno.	B / L
DAY 8 Puno / Lima	Transfer to Juliaca airport for flight to Lima. Upon arrival in Lima, transfer to your hotel. Rest of day at leisure in Lima. Overnight at selected hotel in Lima.	B
DAY 9 Lima	Transfer to Lima airport for return flight.	B
